Heinz Foods SA combines HJ Heinz's international portfolio of brands and its strength in technology with the marketing and trading know-how of Pioneer Foods. HJ Heinz is a global US-based food company, with a portfolio of powerful brands holding number one and number two market positions in more than 50 countries. These brands are cultural icons to consumers everywhere, symbolising quality, convenience and great taste. Heinz's flagship products including Heinz tomato ketchup, Heinz soups, Heinz noodles and Heinz baked beans. The South African range of chutneys and sauces under the Wellington's brand augments the condiments range.

Heinz Foods SA markets products under various brand names. The John West range of, mainly, canned seafood products is a leading branded product in the South African market. The frozen, prepared meal market is targeted with the well-known Today and Mama’s ranges of meals, pies and pastries.

Bowman Ingredients South Africa (BISA) (50 %)

BISA is a dedicated food ingredients company servicing the needs of the large food producers. The business is a 50:50 joint venture between J.A.S Bowman & Son from the UK and Pioneer Foods.

Its production facilities produce rusk, batters, breadcrumbs and specialty flours. Although drawing extensively on European food coatings expertise, many of the products are tailored by technical teams to meet the exact requirements of South African customers.
