THE Ceres Beverage COMPANY

The Ceres Beverage Company focuses on selected categories within the non-alcoholic beverage sector including fruit juices, fruit concentrate mixtures, mineral water and carbonated soft drinks.

The Ceres Beverage Company (TCBC) is the trading name for Ceres Fruit Juices (Pty) Ltd, South Africa's leading fruit juice manufacturer which was established with the merger of the Liqui-Fruit and Ceres brands in 1986. Through the acquisition of Continental Beverages (Pty) Ltd and Retail Brands InterAfrica (Pty) Ltd, the company has grown to one of the largest non-alcoholic beverage manufacturers on the African continent.

This division of Pioneer Foods is a consumer-oriented business, operating at world-class standards across all operations, with dedication to unique products and brands.

• In the fruit juices category the company is renowned for its high quality and market leading brands – Liqui-Fruit, Ceres and Fruitree, offering consumers a wide range of basic flavours as well as exotic fruit juice blends, in a variety of packaging configurations. The brand portfolio has captured nearly 50% market share of the long-life fruit juice category in South Africa.
• In the fruit concentrates mixtures category, Continental Beverages is a strong player in this diverse segment of the market. Wild Island is one of the market leaders in the total category and the benchmark for the dairy blends segment. Daly's is a very strong player in the KwaZulu-Natal market, where the brand has a loyal consumer following.
• On the carbonated soft drinks side, TCBC has the sole franchise rights in South Africa to manufacture, sell and distribute (under licensed from PepsiCo International), the well known international brands Pepsi, Mirinda, 7Up and Mountain Dew.
• Ceres Spring Water competes in the vast growing bottled water segment.
• TCBC also successfully exports its products to more than 80 countries across Africa, Europe, the Far East, Middle East, Asia and North America. Ceres is the company's flagship export brand, but other ranges are also offered to international customers. The various brands are packed in a variety of international label permutations, to suit language and legal requirements in foreign countries.
• The company also contract packs products across the various categories, for leading South African retailers and brand owners.
