Bokomo Foods is a key player in various segments in the food industry with a product range of breakfast cereals, dried fruits and vegetables, baking aids and desserts', and biscuits. This division has established itself as the market leader in breakfast cereals with products under the umbrella Bokomo brand that generations of South Africans have grown up with as household favourites, as well as a leading producer of South Africa's dried fruit products through the well-established Safari dried fruit range.

A main focus is the breakfast cereals market with the predominant product brands of Weet-Bix, Nature's Source and ProNutro. The Safari dried fruit brand has dominated local consumer and industrial markets for over 90 years. Choice grade, handpicked fruit and vegetables are used to market the various products to a range of retail, wholesale industrial and catering clients in the domestic and export market. The product focus also includes ready-to-eat salads under the Werda brand, glacé fruit under the Sugarbird brand, as well as nuts and dehydrated vegetables. With a primary activity in the local and international food industries, the focus is on translating the traditional goodness of South African fruits and vegetables into modern applications to meet the demands of the contemporary consumer. Dried fruits and Macadamia nuts are exported to Canada, Europe, USA and the Far East' including Japan.

The business also includes the Moir’s range of products – a leading brand in jelly, instant puddings, cake mixes and baking aids. Products are distributed through national distribution centres and agents, and agency representation has been established in Botswana and Namibia.

In 2005 the division expanded into the spreads category with the acquisition of two international premium brands – Marmite (vegetable yeast spread) and Bovril (beef spread), Peck's Anchovette, a premium fish spread and Redro, a home-grown value for money fish spread. New products – such as the new Marmite cheese spread – were launched into the market. Savoury Food Industries, a recent acquisition, manufactures yeast-based, HVP (protein obtained from vegetable sources) baste liquids, pastes, powders and powder blends that act as flavourants applied in a wide variety of products including snacks, pies, biscuits, sausages, sauces, biltong, crumbing, stocks and processed meals. Innovation is key and traditional values have been combined with the latest developments in nutritional science to launch products ideally suited to satisfy the needs associated with the modern-day, busy lifestyle. State-of-the-art factories and manufacturing units ensure consistent high-quality products associated with this stable of premium brands. The business is driven by producing quality food products, delivering exceptional customer service, and enhancing business relationships with customers and trading partners.

Bokomo Foods UK has established a base for competing in the UK market for breakfast cereals and other consumable products. It is an established breakfast cereal manufacturer and importer of breakfast-related goods, operating production facilities in Wellingborough and Peterborough.
